• You have 12–15 years of strong software engineering experience and enjoy staying hands‑on with code while also leading people and growing teams.
• You bring deep expertise in either Java + Spring Boot or Python microservices (FastAPI/Flask/Django) and love solving complex engineering problems in modern distributed systems.
• You thrive in cloud‑native environments, especially on AWS, and you enjoy designing scalable, fault‑tolerant microservices.
• You are comfortable reviewing and guiding frontend work (React + TypeScript) even if your primary strength is backend or platform engineering.
• You enjoy working closely with DevOps/SRE and have strong exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Docker, cloud deployments, and observability tools.
• You believe in a strong quality culture and have solid understanding of automation frameworks, API/UI testing, and quality governance practices.
• You have successfully led cross‑functional engineering teams across development and QA disciplines, and you enjoy mentoring engineers at various career stages.
• You are energized by Agile ways of working and feel confident driving cross‑team delivery, sprint execution, capacity planning, and release management.
• Leads with technical depth while inspiring teams with clarity and vision.
• Communicates openly, mentors effectively, and can navigate complex situations with calm and clarity.
• Brings a strong sense of ownership, driving outcomes with discipline and accountability.
• Builds a collaborative and empowering engineering culture where people feel safe to innovate.
• Makes data‑driven decisions, balances tradeoffs, and thinks strategically about long‑term impact.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation, or other cloud‑native tooling.
• Background in BI/dashboard testing, analytics‑driven platforms, or data visualization systems.
• Hands‑on experience with AI‑driven engineering workflows, automation accelerators, or agentic tools.
• Exposure to performance, security, or load testing practices.
• Experience working in SaaS, multi‑tenant, or large‑scale distributed systems where reliability and performance matter.

KPIs and Success Metrics

• Strategic Impact: Drive technical decisions and deliver high-impact solutions across multiple products, influencing product strategy through technical expertise.
• Architecture & Quality: Ensure architectural integrity and scalability of full-stack applications while achieving predictable, high-quality releases with reduced defect leakage.
• Operational Excellence: Achieve zero-downtime deployments and robust monitoring on AWS environments, enhancing overall system stability, performance, and observability.
• Innovation & Efficiency: Lead the adoption of AI-powered developer tools, set coding standards for efficiency, and increase development velocity (reducing lead time to production).
• Team Growth: Drive measurable growth and skill uplift of team members, fostering a high-performing engineering culture.

• Responsible for Granicus information security by appropriately preserving the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of Granicus information assets in accordance with the company's information security program.
• Responsible for ensuring the data privacy of our employees and customers, their data, as well as taking all required privacy training in a timely manner, in accordance with company policies.
