Job Summary

The Employee Communications Specialist strengthens Granicus’ internal messaging by delivering clear, timely, and consistent communications that support organizational goals. Working closely with the Director of Employee Communications and Engagement, this role partners with leaders across departments and global regions to ensure unified messaging for all employees. Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance internal storytelling, managing internal communication channels and content, and supporting companywide communication initiatives. The role also monitors communication metrics to identify data-driven opportunities to improve employee engagement. Success in this role requires strong written communication skills, initiative, problem‑solving ability, effectiveness in partnering across functional teams, and comfort with new digital platforms and technologies, including artificial intelligence

What Your Impact Will Look Like

  • Manage Granicus’ internal global content calendar. Coordinate companywide messages to all employees and by management level, schedule send dates, identify overlaps, and ensure strategic timing.  
  • Facilitate the development, distribution, and follow-up sends of The Gran Newsletter. Ensure consistent delivery and relevance of our twice-monthly newsletter to 2,000+ employees across 10 countries.  
  • Prepare and review news updates for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with Granicus’ voice before sharing internally. Maintain the newsletter section of our intranet with timely updates for all employees. 
  • Support the development and maintenance of our Communications 3.0 strategy. Assist with the design, implementation, and sustainment of a standardized communications framework with clear guardrails for messaging (e.g., content calendar planning, consistent look and feel, and global voice). 
  • Manage the intake process for internal communications requests and triage submissions efficiently. This includes partnering with the director to review, edit, and provide feedback on content submissions.  
  • Support event planning and logistics for company initiatives, such as company all-hands meetings, CEO sessions, guest speakers, and the company event calendar, ensuring each event fosters connection and aligns with Granicus’ mission, values, and strategic priorities. 
  • Advance Granicus’ employee branding internally and externally via social platforms like Glassdoor and Indeed. This includes making site updates to keep our brand current and regularly sharing employee stories and company news. Partner with the Granicus Marketing team to cross-share content on and from LinkedIn.  
  • Coordinate logistics for employee award programs. Ensure smooth delivery and high engagement.  
  • Use AI-driven tools to support project management, workflow optimization, idea generation, and communications development. Monitor communication metrics and identify data-driven improvements. 

You Will Love This Job If You Have

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a corporate communication function 
  • BA/BS in marketing, communications or another related field is preferred 
  • Strong written communication skills 
  • Experience with social media platforms and postings, including Glassdoor and LinkedIn 
  • Experience collaborating with leaders and cross-functional teams 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines 
  • Ability to use data and metrics to inform communication strategies 
  • Comfort with new technologies, including AI 
  • Experience in event coordination and communication logistics 
  • Proficiency with digital communication tools and Microsoft Office Suite
