Job Summary

Granicus ANZ is looking for a tenured Marketing Manager for our government and destination platform and cloud-based software. This role will work closely with the global marketing team, ANZ sales leadership and regional sales team, and the executive team to develop and continually refine our ANZ marketing strategy and execution.  You will be accountable for our marketing success in the ANZ. You will plan and coordinate our execution utilising both local in-country resources and the support from global product marketing, content, digital marketing, and design teams. You will turn our strategy into real-life activities to deliver the right content at the right time based on insights into the local market and competitors.

The Marketing Manager is responsible for demand generation, events, and Account-Based Marketing (ABM) campaigns that drive revenue for the business. You'll develop, implement, and measure full-funnel campaigns focussing on awareness, demand generation, meeting market-specific goals, and accelerating pipeline/revenue growth. This position is based in our ANZ office or remotely within ANZ.

What Your Impact Will Look Like

  • Perform continuous market research to identify trends and challenges within the market to inform thought leadership and sales campaign messaging across government and destination segments 
  • Provide strategy and execution for the market, including working with the ANZ sales teams and other leaders to create and execute marketing plans 
  • Analyse the ANZ public sector market, our customers, buyers and competitors and identify actionable insights and priorities to maximise our success 
  • Generate leads that turn into opportunities and pipeline for the ANZ sales team 
  • Own, analyse and communicate the strategy, execution and metrics of the demand generation funnel, including inquiries, MQLs, SALs, SQLs and pipeline. 
  • Create, develop, implement and optimise full-funnel, integrated demand generation campaigns using best practice approaches 
  • Write and communicate market messages in a variety of media: eBooks, whitepapers, webinars, infographics, advertisements, email and more 
  • Work with the sales organisation to drive upcoming marketing campaigns and gather feedback on programme performance and sales needs 
  • Coordinate with the Business Development Team to monitor campaign efficacy and optimise inbound and outbound sales to support the business in lead generation and pipeline creation 
  • Undertake data sourcing and cleansing to support campaign activities within appropriate process frameworks
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market 
  • Plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan 
  • Develop product and solution-oriented content including positioning, pitch decks, other sales-facing materials, website content, videos, blogs, and webinars 
  • Perform competitive research to profile our key competitors 
  • Work closely with the Marketing Team to develop product-specific demand generation in close coordination with existing verticals and thought leadership campaigns 
  • Plan and coordinate the priorities and support required from global product marketing, content, digital marketing and design teams 
  • Support the wider global Granicus marketing team in defining full-funnel content marketing strategies spanning long-form documents (eBooks, whitepapers), blogs, events, tradeshows, user groups, webinars, infographics, videos, etc. in integrated campaigns, leading to revenue growth 
  • Develop Account-Based Marketing strategy and execution for priority accounts 
  • Drive partner strategy to identify and drive demand generation and funnel building activities that drive pipeline 
  • Perform other relevant duties as required

  • Degree in marketing, business, government, or a relevant field  
  • 3+ years of experience of marketing within a SaaS company in the ANZ  
  • Public sector marketing experience is preferred  
  • An enthusiastic, high-energy self-starter who leads by example and can execute marketing strategy and plans with minimal oversight and direction  
  • Strong writing and communication skills  
  • Experience working directly with sales teams to support their goals and initiatives  
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build internal and external relationships across a global organisation

  • A low-ego collaborator who values teamwork and is happy to pitch in wherever needed.
  • A doer who enjoys both strategy and execution and takes pride in seeing projects through from start to finish.
  • A marketing generalist with 3+ years of experience in SaaS marketing, ideally in the ANZ public sector.
