Job Summary

Summary Description 

The Sitemap Analyst is a unique position focused on architecting website structure and strategy based upon best practices, data analysis, marketing strategy, and client objectives. This role researches and develops materials for presentations, website sitemaps, and site transitions for Granicus clients. The Sitemap Analyst provides the research needed for sitemap recommendations that improve discoverability, searchability, traffic and usability and improve performance. They own the Sitemap deliverable for a Website project, perform the client-facing presentations, manage client feedback and revision cycles, resulting in the finalized Sitemap. 

 

Essential Function 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities 

  • Effectively communicates with internal staff and clients 
  • Develops sitemaps using best practices 
  • Conducting in-depth research to better understand our clients’ competition and constituents to better serve the sitemap creation process. 
  • Drives sitemap development process, including research, recommendations, and revision 
  • Understands business objectives and target audiences 
  • Supports the completion of ad hoc tasks and special projects as needed 
  • Collaborates with Project Managers and Creative Services team to properly document and incorporate site requirements 
  • Represents Granicus positively and maintains a high level of client satisfaction 
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of new technologies and practices in information architecture, sitemap development, user experience, and search engine optimization (”SEO”) 
  • Analyzes and utilizes web analytics to improve the sitemap creation process 
  • Completes assignments on time and under budget  
  • Ability and desire to present to large groups of clients and share your expertise. 
  • Overseeing sitemap deliverables, including timelines and scheduling. 

 

Experience/Credentials: 

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and professionally to U.S.-based majority of our global clientele. 
  • Multiple language proficiency is beneficial in this role to support global clientele and multi-language websites.  
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret English-language content for SEO and UX purposes. 
  • Experience conducting keyword research and content analysis in English to support website strategy and sitemap development. 
  • Familiarity with U.S. digital marketing trends, especially in the tourism and destination marketing sectors, is highly desirable. 
  • Ability to tailor website structure and content strategy to meet the expectations of U.S. audiences and stakeholders. 
  • Professional experience in search engine optimization and web design. Areas of study such as library sciences and information architecture also apply strongly to this role. 
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment without degradation of quality 
  • Ability to learn abstract and complex SEO concepts quickly 
  • Conversant with basic website planning documentation such as wireframes, sitemaps, and user flow diagrams. UX skills are not required but are a plus. 
  • You are adaptable and enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment  
  • You demonstrate an ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy
