DevOps Engineer III

The DevOps Engineer III will play a significant role in the development, automation, and security across our diverse company portfolio. We presently use a diverse number of systems like Chef, GitLab, GitLab-CI, Terraform, and Kubernetes to automate the testing and delivery of Linux-based hosted applications, with plans to consolidate on a standard set of tools leveraging GitLab-CI and Kubernetes where possible. The DevOps Engineer III will have a strong understanding of full-stack application development, testing, continuous integration, a passion for security, and experience working in an agile software development environment.

• Support the software development process by identifying inefficiencies, recommending solutions, automating delivery, and implementing testing.
• Mentor other engineers.
• Technical leadership for small to medium-sized projects
• Escalation support for the SRE team
• Provisioning and maintenance of systems, load balancer configs, firewall rules, databases, and other automation-driven infrastructure tasks
• Automate CI/CD pipelines to build and deploy our software
• Work towards implementing platform stability and cost-effective practices.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure- and application-related issues.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science and/or relevant experience
• 4+ years Software Engineering or Operations supportStrong hold in Linux administration
• Very strong proficiency in diagnosing and remediating complex technical issues
• Very strong understanding of cloud hosting infrastructure, preferably AWS
• Very strong hands-on experience with designing and implementing AWS infrastructure using IAC and Terraform.
• Strong hold on Continuous integration/Continuous Deployment concepts
• Good understanding of cloud networking concepts.
• Strong understanding of source code management, GitLab preferred.
• Strong understanding of containerization concepts.
• Strong proficiency in diagnosing and remediating complex technical issues
• Good proficiency in using AI/ML tools in DevOps for writing codes to troubleshoot issues.
• Should have done 1 POC to showcase the impact of using AI/ML in DevOps and Cloud Engineering
• Effective communication skills for working across support and engineering departments
• Passion for security and identifying opportunities to improve security and testing
