Job Summary

The DevOps Engineer I is an entry-level engineering position responsible for supporting automation, deployment, monitoring, and operational reliability across cloud and hosted application environments. This role partners with software engineering, site reliability, and infrastructure teams to support continuous integration and continuous delivery processes, infrastructure automation, and platform operations.

The successful candidate will demonstrate foundational knowledge of DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure, systems administration, and automation and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment. This position is intended for early-career professionals developing technical capability in infrastructure, CI/CD, cloud platforms, containerization, and operational support, and passionate about driving platform reliability and efficiency by applying AI across CI/CD, observability, incident response, and infrastructure operations. The engineer will also help adopt AI-assisted operations by using intelligent tooling to improve triage, diagnostics, and repeatability, while contributing to the development and use of MCP (Model Context Protocol) tools and AIOps practices.

What Your Impact Will Look Like

Support software delivery activities, including build, deployment, release, and environment management processes.

· Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines used to build, test, and deploy applications.

· Provision, configure, and maintain infrastructure in cloud and hosted environments.

· Troubleshoot application, deployment, and infrastructure issues.

· Monitor system health, review logs, and support improvements in reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.

· Support infrastructure automation and infrastructure as code activities using approved tools and standards.

· Collaborate with engineering, support, and operations teams to resolve issues and improve delivery processes.

· Adhere to established security, compliance, and operational standards in all engineering activities.

· Participate in operational support or on-call activities, as required.

You Will Love This Job If You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

    · Foundational knowledge of DevOps concepts, including CI/CD, automation, infrastructure support, and system reliability.

    · Basic experience with Linux and/or Windows administration, scripting, source control, and cloud infrastructure concepts.

    · Familiarity with containers, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and troubleshooting fundamentals.

    · Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across technical teams.

    · Demonstrated attention to detail, accountability, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced engineering environment

    AI Expectations

    · Curiosity about applying AI tools responsibly in infrastructure engineering to improve triage, diagnostics, documentation, operational analysis, and day-to-day workflow efficiency.

    · Interest in developing, extending, and using MCP (Model Context Protocol) tools, APIs and associated skills.

    · Familiarity with AIOps concepts such as alert correlation, anomaly detection, event enrichment, and assisted root cause analysis in monitoring- and operations-heavy environments.

    · Initiative in identifying and implementing opportunities to build AI-driven scripts, automate operational tasks, and improve engineering workflows through practical, hands-on use of AI technologies.

    · Willingness to learn and adapt to using Python (or similar) to build operational tools with guardrails.

    Career Growth and Work Environment

    This is an entry-level individual contributor position intended for early-career engineers developing foundational capability in DevOps and platform engineering. The DevOps Engineer I is expected to perform assigned responsibilities with guidance from senior team members, resolve routine technical issues, and expand scope and proficiency over time.

    This is a full-time position and may include participation in a rotational on-call support model. The role may support systems and environments critical to business operations

    and therefore requires adherence to established operational, security, and compliance standards.
