Job Summary

The Granicus Experience Group (GXG) is Granicus’ in-house digital agency, a cross-functional team of strategists, analysts, communicators and Granicus technology experts focused on customer experience and digital communications. GXG is a fast-growing agency at a high-growth tech company, seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to serve as a leading technical expert for analytics engineering and analytics-ready data architecture supporting GXI Enterprise (GXI-E), our advanced analytics platform.

This role independently solves highly complex and ambiguous data challenges and sets standards and best practices that influence analytics delivery across GXG.  The Sr. Analytics Engineer designs, governs, and evolves scalable analytics‑ready data solutions that support advanced analytics platform delivery.

 

Through deep expertise and independent decision‑making, this role is ideal for someone who thrives at working with complex data integrations and backend processes, enabling scalable reporting, measurement, and insights that support strategic decision‑making and digital experience outcomes for our clients.

 

You will transform complex, externally sourced data into standardized, reliable models that enable scalable reporting, dashboards, and measurement. By establishing repeatable integration patterns and backend processes, this role improves data readiness, delivery efficiency, and the quality of insights that inform client decision‑making and digital experience outcomes.

What Your Impact Will Look Like

Essential Function:

  • Leads analytics engineering and analyticsready data architecture across GXG for Government clients
  • Lead the development, implementation, and governance of analytics engineering standards and best strategic practices influencing enterprise delivery
  • Design and maintain highly reliable, standardized data models, transformation logic, and validation frameworks for customer analytics delivery
  • Own the analytics-engineering layer for our advanced analytics platforms, transforming product-delivered data into analytics-ready delivery
  • Act as GXG’s senior advisor for complex customer data integrations and technical decision-making
  • Define reusable integration patterns, templates, and documentation to support scalable delivery, reducing ambiguity and startup time
  • Define and evolve GXG processes for data quality, QA, backfills, and release coordination.
  • Monitor and resolve data quality and consistency issues to ensure data structures support dashboards, metrics and client outcomes
  • Triage data issues within GXG and coordinate clearly scoped escalations to Product teams when required
  • Provide strategic input on analytical methodologies, measurement frameworks, and best practices.
  • Improve organizational team efficiency by identifying systemic data challenges and driving durable, scalable solutions

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Advanced SQL and strong analytics‑ready data modeling skills
  • Subject‑matter expertise with the ability to define and influence best practices at an organizational level
  • Demonstrated ability to define, communicate, and enforce analytics engineering methodologies at an enterprise scale, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry benchmarks
  • Strong understanding of cloud data ecosystems and upstream data pipelines
  • Exceptional data quality discipline, including validation, reconciliation, and auditability
  • Systems thinking mindset with comfort operating in ambiguous, high-complexity integration scenarios.
  • Clear technical communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • Proven experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions; Amazon QuickSight and Tableau is a plus.
  • Strong background in quantitative research and statistical analysis; qualitative research a plus.
  • Deep understanding of web analytics and behavioral data, including event‑based and engagement datasets from tools such as Google Analytics (GA4), Adobe Analytics, Siteimprove, or similar.
  • Experience integrating multi‑channel digital data sources, including email marketing platforms, social, surveys, and other emerging customer feedback and engagement channels.
  • Comfortable leading external client-facing workstreams
  • Experience and/or enthusiasm for working with government clients with passion for public service, citizen engagement, and communication

 

Experience/Credentials

  • 8+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data analytics, or business intelligence, supporting analytics delivery in complex, crossfunctional environments; experience with web analytics, digital marketing data, or government technology preferred, working with external clients
  • Proven track record of establishing and governing analytics engineering standards with enterprise‑level impact, influencing organizational data strategy and outcomes
