Title: Associate Sales Engineer
Reports to: Manager, Solutions Consulting

This position is your opportunity to join Granicus, the leading cloud platform for government experience, and support the sales organization by delivering high-quality product demonstrations and technical support across a portfolio of select solutions.

 

The Associate Sales Engineer will be a rapidly developing presales professional focused primarily on supporting United States SMG accounts and prospects. This role will be responsible for learning a defined set of Granicus solutions, delivering tailored demos, assisting with discovery and scoping, and contributing to RFP responses. You will work closely with Sales, Solutions Consulting, Solutions Architecture, and Product teams to ensure prospects clearly understand the value and capabilities of our offerings.

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Rapidly develop working expertise in a defined portfolio of Granicus solutions to effectively support the sales cycle
  • Deliver standard and lightly customized product demonstrations to prospects and customers, primarily within SMG and select accounts
  • Support discovery efforts to understand customer requirements and document solution fit
  • Assist with solution scoping, including basic architecture, configuration assumptions, and effort sizing
  • Contribute to RFP, RFI, and security questionnaire responses with guidance from senior team members
  • Partner with Account Executives to progress opportunities through technical validation and evaluation stages
  • Maintain demo environments, scripts, and reusable assets to ensure consistency and efficiency
  • Provide feedback to Product and Enablement teams on recurring customer needs and objections
  • Continuously build technical, domain, and consultative selling skills through training and mentorship

 

Security Requirement:    

Responsible for Granicus information security by appropriately preserving the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of Granicus information assets in accordance with the company's information security program. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • 1–3 years of experience in a presales, sales engineering, solutions consulting, or related customer-facing technical role (or equivalent internship/academic experience)
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them in customer conversations
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Preferred
  • Experience supporting SaaS solutions or public sector customers
  • Exposure to discovery, demos, or RFP processes
  • Familiarity with CRM and sales engagement tools
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred for regional collaboration
  • An ability to work well in a fast-paced environment where functioning autonomously and collaborating as part of a team are equally important
